Piecing together my dual walbro intake setup. Suggestions?
Right now my camaro just has a single walbro with the stock wiring...which I know isn't near enough for my car(guessing over 500 horse after racing a busa and only losing by 4 cars). I have the racetronix kit with wiring harness with the whole fuel pump assembly out of my trans am.
Could I just run the first pump of of the stock wiring and the second i will use the racetronix harness and hook up a switch to the relay that came with the harness. I'm just going to use a toggle switch for now as I'm trying to get the car ready for a dyno tune within the next few weeks. I figure I can just switch the second pump on when decide to go full throttle.
Currently the car runs great with the stock wiring and the single walbro, but it is running way rich and I'm guessing it will make much more power after a dyno tune and don't want to risk running out of fuel on the dyno.
Just looking for any opinions on what you guys think. Oh and I'm using this as a guide http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/fuelin...ick-cheap.html
I know I'm going to have to figure out what to do with the bucket to fit two pumps but it looks to be pretty similar to the lt1. As stated above I have the whole assembly from my 95 trans am so I'll have plenty of spare parts and wiring.
Thanks
James

A 255 LPH Walbro should be adequate for 500+HP (at the flywheel). I make 500 at the flywheel with a 205 LPH Bosch pump. I only need the second 205 LPH pump for the 300-shot of nitrous.
Wiring definitely needs to be upgraded though.

Also I know the harness normally hooks to the back of the alternator, but the battery is in the trunk and would be much easier to just hook it up there.
I just went ahead and wired it up to the alternator since its relocated to the bottom it only took ten minutes. The car runs better and now has 14 volts(on the stock gauge) rather than 11 or 12. It also runs cooler as the fans are spinning faster I'm guessing.
I think I will see how it does on the dyno and do some more research to build a good dual tank system. It may not even need it. If the corrected horse power is let's say 550 rwhp, then the actual horsepower will be significantly lower because I'm at 5000' feet above sea level.
