fuel pressure check

my car has been lacking power at WOT...

update:
fuel pressure @ WOT is 50 psi (40 psi @ idle) and my pressure bleeds down instantly when i turm my engine off...(i thought it was to slowly bleed down)

where should it be and how should i fix it... is it as simple as adjusting the regulator or is the problem more than that?

thanks to everyone for your help...

Stock FP between 43-46 at WOT (measured with the vac line off) deduct round 8 with vac line. Unless you have an adjustable regulator you won't be able to change it.

It may be running a bit rich at 50 which may cause some power loss, but you might look elsewhere, e.g. what is your A/F? Ideally, probably aound 12.9 to 13.1.

If you haven't had it tuned, you should at least have someone do a wide-band scan to see if you are running too rich. JMHO

You fuel bleed down issue when you shut the engine off is most likely caused by a faulty/dirty check valve in the fuel pump. It can also be caused by leaky fuel injector(s) or a bad fuel pressure regulator. This has have nothing to do with your lack of power at WOT, but it usually causes hard starting.

If the loss in pressure was gradual vs. instantaneous, would it be an indication as to the source of the loss of pressure? (ie check valve in fuel pump vs. a leaky injector(s) )
