New Ignition Coil = Car Reborn

I've suspected my coil's been going bad for a few months now. During WOT or heavy acceleration, it just feels a little loss of power at the high end..followed by backfire. Just guessing it's some unburnt fuel making it out the back.

Well, car finally died on Tuesday as I was driving...kinda felt really weak the day before, but Tuesday the car just shut down. No where convenient of course, just on a 2 lane overpass with no shoulder. People are just not courteous, I tell you. I'm there with my hood up and hazards on, and people still honking, like I'm just chilling on the road for no reason.

Anywhoo...no spark to any of the plugs, so thinking coil or ICM. I've had a new coil (GM) lying around b/c was thinking about replacing it when I had a chance. Well..here it is.

Man, the car hauls *** again. Everything's just louder and meaner again.

Now, I wonder if my gas mileage will get any better...been around 14 mpg after the gears.

GM coils are the best.I put on an Accel coil, and 30 minutes later was stuck on the offramp of a freeway.Went back to GM.I do change the coilwire about every 6 months or so.Hope this helps.(even the msd coil wire didn't work that well.Kept slipping off.
