LT1 Injectors

I have a mostly stock 95' LT1, and I have the Intake off to put new lifters in. My question is while the intake is off is there anything that can be done to the injectors.......like cleaning them or something? Thanks Mike

You may be able to clean them, but I would just put the intake back on unless you are having troubles with them.

If they are working properly...dont touch them. Just put the intake back on. If you just want to clean the outside of any grime etc...that should be fine but Id leave them alone if they're working properly.

Why are you replacing the lifters?

well while im at it I wanna get the Intake powder coated........and I believe the lifters are collapsing cause this is the second time that a rocker has jumped off. Both times it happened the engine was cold and its been a different rocker each time. Also when I fire it up it has a loud tap for a few seconds........Hopefully new lifters will solve the problem and I'm adding 1.6 roller rockers and LT4 springs

Do you adjust your own valve lash? Never had that problem so Im not sure what would cause the rocker to keep jumping like that. The only thing I can think of is if the rockers arent being set correctly.

Replace the strainer filters in them... maybe soak them in injector cleaner additive?
