Need help!!! Car won't start!!
Hey guys
I've been driving my 98' z28 with this security light on for about 2 months. Never gave me a problem until 2 weeks ago. I was driving to run errands, park it, got back in, try to start it up and it didn't. Tried to fire it up more than 10x's no start. Got it jumped, pumped gas in it. Still no start. Got it toll to a mechanic. He said it was the fuel pump, he said that it had 0psi. So i bought a new fuel pump, he installed it and checked the fuel pressure again it shot up to 40psi at first, so it still didn't fire up. A day later, he got it up to it's normal 55-60psi range but it still didn't crank at all. Checked the ingnition cylinder, he said it was bad. So i went to chevy bought a new ignition cylinder, got a new key with it. Brought it to him, he installed it and STILL didn't crank. The security light went away but still no crank. So i called murdock lock & key tech, he came and check it out, since we thought it was
something dealing with the lock & key resistor...and guess what...he didn't figure it out either. He said that it's not dealing with the "VATS" and said it doesn't need a bypass either. He also checked all of the sensors but no answer smh. He told me that it may be a fuel pump relay problem or crank sensor but not sure. Mechanic doesn't have a clue either. I'm planning on taking it to chevy for a complete diagnostic. But if anyone has had a PROBLEM like mines, can u please help me out???
I'll appreciate the feed back, Dre
