MSD ignition misfire on 94 LT1

I'm hoping someone who is MSD savy can help out in this matter. I have just installed the MSD system and now the idle is very rough and there is a misfire to the block as I get the rpm's high. There is a loud arching sound with the misfire of the engine on the passenger side almost like it's grounding to the engine block as one of the cylinders on that side is firing.

Here is the anotomy of the car in detail on what was done prior to the problem.

8.5 MSD wires
6A MSD box
94 LT1 MSD coil
OPTI-SPARK is still OEM a/c delco
NEW AC DELCO R45LTS6 plugs
Addapter harness from 2plug to 1plug on the MSD coil
(which I never understood why they cut the addapter harness to just 1 plug on a 2 plug coil)

Verified the following:

Plug wires are routed correctly to each cylinder and secured to plugs and opti-spark.
Ground to MSD box system is good and secure
Spark plugs are currently gapped at 50 thousands.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Except for the wires(coil wire is a piece of) I would return your system back to stock. All that stuff you have is only designed to make the engine idle smoother.(Check previous posts). The GM coil is really pretty good.Hope this helps. You didn't tell me if thecar was stock or not, higher applications require different set ups.My02.

probably a cracked spark plug or a wire burnt.

Okay..... here is an update on this. After changing the Opti to the MSD Billet Opti, the misfire went away because we found an oil leak from the seal that got inside the OEM opti. After 30 mins of the engine running like a champ, something is advancing the timing (almost like it's jump timing) and now it's running horrible. We have isolated the knock sensor, MAF, and disconnected the battery to try and reset the PCM but nothing is working. The MSD opti is set for factor settings so we tried to adjust the timing from the opti but that didn't work either.......

Does anyone have any feedback or suggestions????

How do you know something is advancing the timing? Have you scanned the PCM to see what timing the PCM is calling for? Why do you feel you need to reset the PCM? Are there any codes?

Well I could be jumping to conclusions on the PCM because I dont' have any codes and I haven't scanned for any on it yet. I just cant imagine what the hell it could be. It idles really rough all of a sudden and sputters and stalls like the timing is jumped or been advanced. Like I said before, it ran like an angel for 30 mins after the MSD Opti was installed and then went to crap when it was at idle 30 mins later. Do you think I got a bad "lemon" Opti from MSD??

That's why I asked about the rotor screws.

The timing screw on the rotor is tight..... however we found the problem. My MAP sensor on top of the intake went to crap!!! We swapped it out and now it's running like it should. I have a minor misfire which is intermitent but I'm going to check the plug wires to make sure they are seated right on the Opti and make sure no water got in it when the water pump gaskets were replaced. I'm hoping that should clear up the minor misfire. I'm just happy the timing issue is resolved.
