I picked up a used box on here, and well I'm having some issues. I bought a brand new harness for it to ease install and not cut wires.

I hooked it up per the instruction manual. I have a good coil as it runs when I remove the harness. I did the trouble shooting in the instructions by disconnecting the white wire, turning the key to on and checking for spark coming of the coil when the white wire comes off of ground. No spark, Now all I can think is to throw my other untested used msd 6 box that came with a parts car I picked up on it and see if the harness is good. Does msd do repairs to there boxes or am I better off buying a brand new one?

*update; I tried the 6abox and it fired right up. I also ohmed the connectors and they are all good, there are no external shorts from what I can tell. Does anyone know the resistance from ground to the other wires should be? and has anyone opened one up yet? looks like 8 screws then the top comes off? I cant seem to find a pic on the net anywere.

 

Has anyone ever run into problems with the 6 plus?
