Mallory 685 problems again

First off this is my third mallory box this year. We just got it wired up, moved it back to the hatch area under the sub. Wired it up and tried to crank the car over and wouldnt turn. We used the bypass that Mallory supplies and the car turned right over. Which leads me to believe that the wiring is correct. Anyone have any input? Is it just another dead box?

I am on my second box as well. I have to say that I am a little disapointed in Mallory especially the way these boxes are bragged about so much. Sounds like another dead box to me...

Its really getting frustrating, one maybe I can see going out but not 3 in not even one year. Im going to call Mallory tomorow and see if they cant work something out. Shipping these back and forth is getting a little ridiculous

Called Mallory and they said to try and hook it up straight to the battery. He said that the box may not be getting a full charge in the capacitors and thus shutting the car down.

I spent about 45 minutes on hold then finally got someone. I just put my phone on speaker, set it down and went on with what I had to do.

i feel your pain, since a) i have had their box go out on me twice and b) have been put on hold forever.

now i have the direct number for the guy in charge of warranty claims and i usually get him right away or he returns my call fairly quickly. ill give you his number when i return to my office on monday.
