Are the Accel opti's or the ignition boxes any good? I've never heard anything about them.

 

I have not heard much good things about the Accel optis.

 

Ignition box--OK I have one...
OPTI--???????? Havent heard anything positive...

 

I haven't heard anything bad regarding their boxes, but then again, I don't hear of alot of people having them either as it seems the MSD and Mallory have the advantage there. As for the optis, I have heard nothing but complaints.

 

I had an Accel box and it failed which disabled the ignition until I bypassed the box. I have since switched to an MSD 6A box (4 years ago) and all has been well since...When I called LPE to ask them if they'd had problems with the Accel boxes they said that they don't recommend them anymore because of a high failure rate...I don't know that the MSD box does anything, in fact I've heard that the optis don't like ignition boxes...

wow! I always thought accel stuff was good I've had good luck with the HEI stuff but my opti died after 2 months search opti for more info
