Make me a fuel system
Make me a fuel system
So I am in the process of doing of re-doing my whole camaro. I already have the 383 stroker and a 150 shot, I plan on sending the heads in to AI over the winter hopefully and I plan on going with a TH-400 and a 9" or 12bolt. I am shooting for high 10's low 11's on motor. The only thing is I dunno how far I have to go with my fuel system. Right now all I have is a 255in-tank, NOS pusher pump, and 42lbs injectors. I just want to know if it is enough, if I should go with a fuel cell and A1000 pump or what?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thankss alot,
Greg

I'm running a le3 setup on a 150 shot with an intake 255 and kenne bell boost a pump. I'll be going to a dedicated fuel system soon and going to the bigger jets so I can run race gas in the fuel cell, currently I'm running all pump gas.
Which NOS inline booster pump do you have? That may be the limiting factor in the fuel flow, with the pumps in series. When they first came out with the NOS-5176 kit, they included a Bosch 205LPH pump as the inline booster. Eventually, they went to a cheaper pump in the kit.
As long as you run the dry kit, you're probably going to have to keep the inline pump to provide the pressure level the NOS dry kit requires. Then when you go to a wet system, you will need to go to a larger in-tank pump, or dual pumps. I run a pair of the Bosch 205's in parallel, with the second pump running only when the nitrous system is armed. Total HP is 800 flywheel including the 300-shot.

Is there a kit to do the dual in-tanks? I have seen it done before, but never have done it myself. Either I am gonna do that, or spend more and do the Aeromotive fuel pump kit from summit, cause I am gonna b tearing this car apart. That way I know if I ever swap a 406 or something bigger that is carbed I won't have to change around my fuel system too much.
