lt1 wont even start

Hi im new here. to start i have a 1994 camaro z28 lt1 350. so my car will crank over and will not start but when i stop cranking it, the motor keeps rotating rough almost as if its running backwards. so i recently put in a msd vented distruibtor and the problem still occurs. ive checked my spark plugs my wires and all the wiring i still cannot find anything. ive made sure i didnt cross my wires on the distruibtor so thats fine. so is there anyone out there that had the same problem or knows exactly what it is or something i could check if so please help!!!

The opti has to be indexed correctly, you need spark to get to the plugs, you need fuel to the cylinders and you need compression. Those are the basics that you first need to cover.

Test for spark:
Pull a spark plug (SP) then reconnect it to the SP wire. Hold it close to block and have someone crank the car. You should see it sparking to the block. If no spark is present then your opti could be bad.

Check for fuel:
It’ll be a good idea to use eye protection for this. Make sure the car is off then get some rags and a screwdriver. What you'll be doing is pressing in the Schrader valve on the right rear of the fuel rail with the screwdriver. If fuel is present it'll shoot out depending on how far you push in the valve. If fuel barely leaks out then you could possibly have a faulty fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.

Did the car just suddenly start this problem? Or did it start after you replaced / fixed something?
