LT1 no-start. No voltage to fuel pump

Long story short, I just put in a new racetronix pump. Before the car quit turning over it took a few cranks to start for maybe the past year or so. Then over the winter when i'd drive it around the block, the car would stumble and hesitate badly when I'd floor it. Then after a while it stopped starting.

So it came down to no fuel pressure at all. Everything checked out except for the pump as it did not turn on even when jumping it via the fuel pump prime connector in the engine bay. The relay clicked over fine too at the time. Now the new pump is in and it runs via the fuel pump prime connector however, now the relay doesnt click over. I have the steering column down a bit and ready to pull if i have to get to the ignition switch but I'm going to test the fuel pump relay before I decide it necessary to check out the ignition switch.

So I'm looking for any other simple ideas of why the relay isnt getting power and therefore the pump not running.

New relay didnt help so its not the relay. Jumped power from the orange +12v to the gray wire and the pump ran. Built pressure too.

Not getting anything on the PCM side of the dark green/white wire for the signal. I'm trying to get ahold of a friends PCM out of his 97 T/A and see if my PCM is fried.

No security light so its not VATS related....that I can observe anyway. Everything works just fine but the car only cranks.

The connection to the pin in the connector is fine. So its either got to be a fusible link maybe powering the pcm, the ground or something wrong with a signal the pcm needs to put out voltage.

Does anyone know the logic the computer needs to run the fuel pump? I'm going to check on the items mentioned above but this would be helpful too

Does it run for the first two seconds and then shut down, never to run again? The PCM needs to find the low resolution pulse from the Opti, or it shuts the fuel system down.

It doesn't run at all. I get no response from the fuel pump relay run wire (green/white stripe) in the RED connector. I can jump voltage at the relay and from the prime wire by the PCM and run the pump but the relay does not energize. Everything else on the vehicle works just fine. Are there other components that would stop the computer from getting signal from the opti like a bad ICM, ignition switch, etc?

Where did you find your problem? I'm having the same thing, and it's driving me nuts.

I never did find the problem. I'm just going to deal with it come springtime.

I'm having exactly the same problem like you Scott
here is what I did, I took the relay out and there is a gray wire go to the pump, I ran a hot wire from the batteries and connect to the gray wire and then I unplug the connector was connect between fuel tank to under the chassis of the rear sit and I crimp a piece of wire to the black wire behind the connector and make connect to the chassis for good ground and plug the connector back.
Turn ignition on the pump run right away and try to start the engine she fire right up.
The problem Is the pump is run all the time. I know it not the right way to do but I m planning let she temporally run like that until I find out what is the problem. I really need the car, no car can’t go any where. So what do you guys think
