What brand replacement Opti did you buy? Was it a complete unit? Have you checked to see if its setting codes again?

backfiring, sounds like timing is off. Maybe the dowl pin on the cam is not in the correct postion on the opti?

I would recheck all your work and be sure everything was reinstalled corectly and is on tight. If something wasn't replaced just right it could be causing your issues. Did you do anything else while you where in there?

Did you check for codes again?

Generally, if you put the dowel in the wrong hole in the back of the Opti, its so far off (120 cam degrees = 240 crank degrees) that it will probably not start. Its not like the splined shaft on the unvented models, where you can be off by 20 cam degrees.

yes I have no codes its really weird I can drive and drive for ever with no problems its just when I turn it back off and back on really quick it does not want to start up after it is warmed up. on cold starts it fires up with no problem when i turn it on and off its just when it gets to regular Operating Temp I have my datamaster file if anyone wants to look at it. But when the car is started there are no problems at all it runs strong as hell.

Do you have a bad coil or ignition module that is heat sensitive?
