Hard start & stinks like fuel?
When I start my car I have to turn the key on and off twice before the car will start. Then once its running it stinks like gas really bad while running, any idea on what this problem is?
Hard starting often is the result of the fuel system losing its prime pressure too fast. That can be caused by things like a faulty check valve in the fuel pump, a broken diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator, leaking injectors, or leaking fuel lines.
You definitely need to check for leaks in the fuel lines and the FPR. Can you pin the smell down to either the engine area or the fuel tank area? Have you checked the fuel pressure?

I had that same problem. Bad fuel regulator (Aeromotive). Gas would leak thru to the intake manifold thru the rubber diaphram. Discovered by smell of gas on the Vac line to the regulator. My fuel pressure gage did not indicate this problem due my tap being not @ the fuel rail.
