Gas Guage Stuck Below E

Gas guage is stuck below E, tank is at least over half full. 2000 Camaro SS.
Car sat for several months, when I got back to it and started it up I noticed it was low on fuel, added 12 gallons and gauge didn't budge. Was working before! Car only has 25K miles. Is there an easy fix for this?

Never know, it could be a bad ground, could be a corroded wire, could be a bad sender, or he gauge itself could be dead.

I'm thinking sender, as the weather here is too dry for corrosion and the needle drops a little when the ignition is turned off.

Shoebox has info on checking the fuel level gauge:

That's for an LT1 but your 2000 should be similar.
