Fuel system upgrade needed.

Well brought my car out to the track on Saturday to work on the suspension and my intank pump finally went out after 5yrs. Luckily I have a 255lph booster pump under the car so it still runs and drives ok but only ran 11.09@126mph before i noticed the pump wasn't working. So I am going to a Walboro 255lph intank pumnp and remove my inline pump. So now I will build a standalone fuel system for the n2o and leave the intank pump just for the motor. I wanted to know at what point are upgraded lines, regulator etc.. needed and what is best way to upgrade our fuel system for a 550-600flywheel horsepower LT1 without breaking the bank? It's obvious the stock parts work b/c my car has been 9's with the fuel system thats on it but since I am working on the fuel system, I would like to see what other people making 500-700HP are using. I am also contemplating going to a low pressure fuel system for the n2o like 10psi instead of 45-50psi anybody have pro's and con's to that? LMk Thanks Clint

There's a "sticky" on the Fuel & Ignition forum discussing fuel systems for high HP applications. Generally speaking, at 550-600 flywheel HP, the stock lines, rails and FPR are fine. I'm pushing 800HP (including a 300-shot of dry nitrous) through a -6AN supply line, which is the same diameter as the stock supply line.

Check the "sticky".

Check with the manufacture of the n2o system for the pressure change, I know from experience the tune up (jetting) will change according to the type system you have. LF

Thanks, I know quite a bit about n2o and your fuel jet changes with fuel pressure. I just didn't know if anybody else was running a low pressure n2o fuel system here, I remember seeing one guys 95 Camaro but don't remember his username. I am probably just going to build a 1 gallon aluminum cell and use my 255lph inline pump to provide the n2o fuel that way I don't have to buy all new fuel jets and a new pump. I found a Walboro intank 255lph pump for $75 on ebay anybody know if any sponsors sell them for that price?

I've heard that the Racetronix dual intak pumps can handle lots of rwhp/rwtq, that's the setup I think I'm going to go with.

Well a friend gave me a 255LPH pump to put in my tank so thats what I am going with for now. I am also going to use my 255LPH booster pump to provide fuel for the n2o side. I am going to go with a small 1-2gallon tank up front but does anybody know what regulator will work good on this?
