Lightbulb Fuel Sending Unit

Is the Fuel sending unit for a LT1 car (Specifically a 94), the same as a LS1 car sending unit?

i asked around, but no one knew... id say check with checker/kruger/advance/autozone/whatever.. have them find the part number for the 94 and then have them check it with an ls1.

why do you need the whole sending unit? why not just replace the fuel pump with a racetronix kit, or just a walbro fuel pump?

When you ask about the "fuel sending unit", are you asking about the complete fuel pump support bracket/level sender/pump setup (not the same)? Or are you asking about the level sending unit - the rheostat with the arm and float attached to it (may be the same)?

Based on my experience about 6 or 7 years ago, GM did not sell the the float/level sender as a separate piece. You had to buy the complete pump support asembly (no pump) with the sender, and drill the rivets out to remove the new sender, and move it to the old support assembly (my support assembly had been modified for a Bosch pump and -AN lines). I think I may have seen a post recently where someone was able to find a replacement sender from a non-GM source.
