fuel pump hotwire kit connection

I bought a hotwire kit for my LS1 a few months ago and am now trying to hook it up. The instructions say to find the 4 pin connector (weatherpack) to connect into. All I'm seeing under the car is the electrical bulkhead that comes through the floorpan. Wires from it go a short distance up to the top of the fuel tank but there's no connection that mates to the hotwire kit.

Can anyone direct me to where this plug could be? I reach up along the tank but can't find anything there. The kit is right and the instructions are clear. Many of these have been sold and are in use but for the life of me I can't figure out how it is supposed to connect.

The kit is for 99-2002 Camaro & Firebird with plastic tanks. I have a 2001 Camaro with a plastic tank. The picture on the FullThrottle Speed site is exactly what I have.

I guess no replies on this board but Mike at fullthrottlespeed has verified the connector is right on top of the tank. He says it is in the location of the pump hanger. I don't know exactly what that is but I'm still trying to find out. Sure doesn't seem like a "easy install" to me.

Any advice on safely dropping the tank down sure would be appreciated. I'm not interested at this time in cutting an access hole in the hatch area.
