Fuel Pressure Test ?'s
Fuel Pressure Test ?'s
I have a 97 Z28,
I was wondering if this kit would work on my car, and if it is the correct kit does it allow for room to be connected to the schrader valve which I believe is located UNDER the windshield on top of the engine. How do you tape the test gauge to the windshield without pinching the lines? I mean I've read about people taping it to the windshield and driving down the street to check fuel pressure while driving to see if the pressure is lost at any point? I would think closing the hood would pinch the line and give you an innacurate reading?
Here's the kit I am looking at

and the instructions...

$64 + shipping
If you know of any cheaper testers please post a link.
I have to use a rag to open the schrader valve to catch/absorb any fuel and once I connect the gauge I have to prime the car once to get the system pressurized, is that correct?
Anything else I should be aware of? Any in-depth guides to performing this test?

Schrader valve location (courtesy of Shoebox):

The rubber fuel line on a test gauge is fairly hard, and there is a 1" thick, very soft rubber gasket that seals the hood to the cowl. It won't pinch it.
