Re: Fuel injector

42 #/HR injectors will support up to 600HP normally aspirated. You would appear to be within that limit.

Re: Fuel injector

To get the minimum recommended size for an NA engine, multiply the flywheel HP by 0.07

That assumes an 0.476 BSFC and 85% DC.

Example: 500 HP x 0.07 = 35#/HR

Re: Fuel injector

So I am thinking I'll have 425 to the wheels so I think 30lb would be good 425x.007 =29.75

Re: Fuel injector

duty cycle on injectors go by the power at the crank before drivetrain loss. Going by 15% loss you'd want to go by 500 fwhp if you expect 425 at the wheels. In which case i'd go with the 42's.

Re: Fuel injector

I posted above that you need to multiply the FLYWHEEL HP. The injectors have to make the power at the flywheel. They have no way of knowing whether you are loosing 13% through a T56 or 25% through a loose TH400.
