Hard starting after fuel pump install

I just finished installing my racetronix fuel system last week and it is usually much harder to start than before. sometimes it will fire up immediately but most of the time it takes atleast 3 seconds or more. once started it runs perfect.

Firstly I'd like to mention that I suggested you replace your fuel pump with an OEM one.

I don't have any experience with racetronix fuel systems, but what kinda amperage does the pump require?

Check your fuel pressure at the Schrader valve after priming; if the fuel pressure drops off rapidly there may be dirt in the check valve of the fuel pump causing hard starting.

Did the pump fit inside the bucket without any issues? did you glue the top back on?
Your losing pressure somewhere..

That is what I was thinking. That is why Racetronix recommends cleaning the tank very thoroughly before installing the pump. When you did the pump, did you drop the tank or did you do the trap door method?
