Difficult Starting

Lately I have notice it seems to be harder to start the car. Where before It started at first turn over now it turns over a while or I turn the key off and back on and it starts right up. It doesnt sputter or anything going down the road so not sure if that means its not the fuel pump or not. Figured I would ask here to see what others thought. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I dont have a fuel pressure gauge to check anything but ideas still appreciated.,

For giggles I went out and pushed in the shrader valve with the car recently "primed" and there was nothing. No pressure at all. I started the car and did it and gas did come out. So if there is no pressure after it just ran there is that the FP? The filter was changed within the last year so I know its not that. Guess it seems a bit weird id have an issue at start but never any other time.

Put a gauge on it to verify that it is loosing fuel pressure quickly when the pump shuts off. If it is, there are several possibilities:

-check valve in fuel pump is not working

-leaking fuel injectors (pull rails, pressure system, look for drips)

-damaged diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator (check for fuel in the vacuum compensation line)

-leaking fuel line (inspect system for leaks)

Once the engine starts, the pump does not need the check valve to function, and it will be able to flow enough to compensate for a fuel line leak or injector leak.

Thanks Injuneer. I had already checked the vacuum line. There is no fuel there. Ill have to look into see how to remove the fuel rails to check that area. I know there are no leaks in the fuel lines. At least for the areas I know to look none is leaking there anyway. I guess if its the check valve at least it will work without it and I have time before I have to actually .replace the pump lol. I appreciate the help and advice my friend.
