Im looking for a fuel pump, something as close to plug and play as possible. I was looking on thunder racing and saw the holley FP for preaty cheap. Has anyone used one of these before? Otherwise does someone know where to get the racetronix kit? I didn't see it on Thunder. I want the cheapest way out because I am not pushing gobs of horsepower and don't plan to anytime soon. Any help or reccomendations would be great. Thanks.

 

The racetronix system may not be the cheapest solution out there, but it truly is plug and play and the quality is unsurpassed. I would spend the extra money and get this system. I have been extremely impressed with my set up so far.

 

Where do you get the racetronix kit, and how much does it cost?

If I want just the pump, and not the whole entire fuel system do I get that one that is like $160.00?

Yeah, that's the one. I want to see if anyone has even bought the Holley and what they thought? Looks like it's all the same thing to me.

 

I bought the walboro a few years ago for my V6. No problems with that one, although I didn't have it for very long.

 

I've used the Holley for the last 2 years. No problems.

 

Did it fit right in or did you have to do some modding?

 

Sort of. I can't exactly remember why, but for some reason I didn't use the tube/container or whatever it is that the pump goes into. I'm thinking it didn't fit inside correctly or it may of had to do w/ having to glue it back together and waiting for it to dry. I was out of town and had to leave the same day. I just used hose clamps and wrapped it around the brace for the tube/container. From then on it was plug/play.

 

That's what I figured. You'd have to ditch the bucket and I would really want to keep that. Think I'm going with the racetronix kit.

 

I used the BBK, its just a walbro in the kit but it fit the bucket and i had to epoxy it back together

 

I installed one in mine about 4 years ago in the bucket with stock suction filter and glued the top back with locktite 404.

i have installed all the aforementioned pumps and never had a problem. it is hard to beat a good gm pump for mostly stock applications
