Never heard of such a thing. Why would you need two in-tank pumps? Unless you are running some sort of power adder/FI monstrosity a single fuel pump like a Walbro should suffice.

It is more common on FI set ups, but its becoming more popular for nitrous cars. The 2nd pump is only turned on when on nitrous. People are going this route because its cheaper and better than running a external "boost-a-pump". A single Walbro 255lph is only good to about 600rwhp.

Thats the exact setup im running on my N20 car. My second pump is activated when the nitrous is activated.

Heres the only pic i have left after my computer died of my setup. It was sent from a rep @ Racetronix after i asked to see some pics of what the finished product would look like before i sent them my sending unit and $500. When it arrived it was just like pictured and worked great. I couldn't be happier with it.

in the forced induction section there are a lot of pics of different homemade setups. i built mine for my nitrous kit, the same way you are trying to do. just look at a few of those pics and you will get all the info you need.

So the plastic bucket is not used. It looked like there is not room for 2 pumps in it. I guess you just can't let the tank run low. Thanks for the pic. I will search in the FI section as well.

No the bucket is no longer used. I will not let the tank get below 1/2 tank while on the juice. Last year i only attempted 2 nitrous runs before i found that i don't have enough traction to even bother, 130mph traps and a cloud of smoke down the track looks good but doesnt help win races.

Not true. A single Walbro will only support about 400 RWHP. I found this out as I was having fuel issues with mine when it had 420 RWHP and I talked to the pros at LPE and thats what they told me.

I later confirmed it to be true when I went to the FI side of things and found pretty much everyone over 500 RWHP doing the dual in-tank Walboro setup.

Lots of great info and pics (including some of mine) can be found here;

Well thats funny because it is handling 406 at the wheels right now (Thats on a Mustang Dyno by the way) with no problem with out the hot wire kit. I have since added it though for a large nitrous shot. When I say 600 I mean with the hot wire kit. A stock pump will almost support 400. I could see the problem in FI set ups. Thanks for the link.

Like I said, the Walboro 255 lph fuel pump will support "around" 400 to the wheels. I have no doubt that you supported 427 RWHP, just like mine supported 420 RWHP. What I am saying is that low 400 RWHP would be the max it would support safely, and that it will NOT safely support 600 RWHP (N/A).

anyone tell me what type of vacuum pump used to drain the fuel tank. I have a siphon hose with a 1/4" brass connection on one end, and another brass fitting at the other end which I believe goes into the tank. 97 Z28 stock. Replaced water pump, radiator

They make a hand pump style siphon kit that you can get at most auto parts stores. I paid $12.00 for mine.
