94 Z28 Won't start

It's turning over just won't fire- fuel pressure was in spec at the rails (don't remember exactly what the pressure was, on the low side of spec), coil/icm is fine (a buddy took mine and put it on his car and it's working).

I'm thinking opti but I've been told that they usually don't just die.

Any input would be appreciated.

Have you scanned it for codes? There are codes that don't turn on the SES light. The worst one is DTC 16 for loss of low resolution pulse signal from the optical cam position sensor in the Optispark. When that one sets, the PCM shuts down the fuel system.

Have you verified that you have spark?

No spark which is why I pulled the coil/icm and had my friend try it on his car.

I haven't pulled the codes from it, I thought I could do it without a scanner but haven't been able to figure it out. LOL

You need an OBD-I scanner to pull codes on a 94.

Thanks, I'll see what I can come up with.
