93 z28 injector question

I am in the proccess of upgrading my stock injectors and I just wanted to make sure what I am planning will work. My z28 is producing somewhere around 430 hp at the flywheel, which if I calculated it right would mean I would need at least 31lb injectors. I'm planning on getting 42lb LS1 injectors to leave some room for future mods. I was just wondering if that would be to high or if when my car is tuned, they will be able to scale them down enough.

There were no stock LS1 injectors rated at 42 #/HR, so they must be aftermarket. The LS1 runs at 58psi. Since your LT1 will only run a 43.5psi, unless you have raised the pressure using an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, the LT1 injectors will only flow 36.4 #/HR. There will be no problem using those with your engine, and there's nothing to "scale down". They enter the correct flow rating in the ECM, and the ECM makes the correct pulse width calculation.

You do need to verify that the "LS1 injectors" were actually flow rated at 58psi.
