93 camaro starting issues
93 camaro starting issues
I had the car starting with ease even in this ice cold weather ive been having, would run just fine and now it wont start at all out of no where. Im assuming at this point its just a starter failure but im not exactly to sure how to best remove the starter either wire wise. any suggestions for starter removal or any other possible issues? its a 1993 camaro z28 5.7L auto
Re: 93 camaro starting issues
If I understand correctly, the problem is that when you turn the key, you get no response at all from the starter. If that's the case, could be the battery, could by corroded terminals or wires, could be a faulty starter. Start with the wire terminals and cables. Have your battery tested. Could be a problem with the ignition switch.
Is the "SECURITY" light on or flashing?
Does using jumper cables from a healthy battery help?

Re: 93 camaro starting issues
At first the battery gauge was showing that it still was holding its charge but since has now died and when i jump it with another car and good battery the car still didn't turn but after a while it does lose the charge so i think your correct with stating it be best to make sure i get battery checked out before i go for removing the starter.
Re: 93 camaro starting issues
and when i first turn the key to just be able to turn on the radio and lights and stuff the security light comes on for just a split second but so does all the lights such as low oil and what not and after being on for just a second it goes off. should i be considered about that?
