42# injectors ok for na 383?

I'm building a na 383 with fully ported AFR 210's and Edelbrock airgap LT4 intake, cam selection dependent on final flow numbers of the heads but will be hyd roller. I'm thinking of getting 42# injectors along with a custom tune do you guys think they will be too big?

The only thing that would make an injector "too big" would be if it was so large that the PCM drivers could not "turn it down" to the tiny pulse widths required for idle. The stock PCM has demonstrated an ability to provide a smooth idle with the 42 #/Hr injectors. If you plan to make more than 500 flywheel HP, the 42's are almost mandatory.

ditto. I have 438rwhp and using bosch 42#'ers. (they are the green top ford ones, but ford had nothing to do with them, bosch just stamped the crappy blue oval on them. )
It idles great, and man does she fly!
385 bottom end, AI top end.
I think you already got your advise though! hehe.
