best spark plug

I recently bought a 1999 camaro ss for 10,000, it has 72,000 miles. I feel like it has a miss during idle and at near redline. I think that it might need new spark plugs. Which spark plug does everyone feel like is the best? Should I replace the wires also, cuz they look new. Also how do you remove the shields that surround the spark plug?

this probably needs to be in the fuel and ignition systems section..... someone will move it

but, NGK are good plugs to go with. the shields just come out with the plugs/wires, they just slip out pretty much. if this is your first time changing plugs on an LS1 your gonna need to set aside a couple of hours, the passenger side is a PITA on the back two plugs.

I had to switch to TR6. The TR55's were causing detonation and my car is NA. This happened after the EPA forced oil companies to use ethanol instead of MTBE for an octane booster.

As for TR6 for spray/boost...that all depends on how much spray and/or boost.
