355 Down on Power and Shakes
I'm posting this for my brother. He has a 1995 M6 355 w/ 503 cam.
Problem: Car is down on HP and engine shakes in 5th and 6th gear. Could take the RPM's all the way up w/o any braking up just feels like its holding you back. PCM not recognizing the code reader. Wires are not crossed.
New parts:
Opti done on 2/28
Wires done today
Plugs done on 2/21
ICM done last summer
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Is he possibly trying to use an OBD-II code reader? IF so, he needs to try an OBD-I scanner, with an adapter to hook the 12-pin OBD-I style scanner cable up to the 16-pin OBD-II "style" ALDL connector used on the 95's.
