2 cylinders wont fire

2 cylinders wont fire

for some reason my number 5 and 6 cylinders wont fire. i put new plugs and wires on and it still misses. i think its odd because they are directly across frome each other. what the hell can it be?

The firing order on the LT1 puts 6-5 in sequence. You might look at the Opti, I've heard of the caps cracking and breaking the wires embedded in the epoxy in the cap, and 6-5 will be adjacent on the opti. Have you scanned for codes? At least verify if there is a spark at all on those two cylinders.
