Thanks, Bob. Sounds like you've been involved with some really fast cars. I look forward to reading more about them. Sounds like you've had some bad blood with Steve. Sometimes he can rub folks the wrong way. But he's a pretty cool guy in person. He's kinda a buddy of mine, so I'm a little defensive. I've got this thing about screen names. That's why I always use my real one. Just too many trolls out there. Thanks for identifying yourself. I'll let yall fight it out from here on. lol

I asked Dad about this flyin hawaiian, or 8seclt1, guy and it seems that he is the main culprit in spoiling ls1tech.com for us. He's changed his screen name and now is attacking me and the car at this site, as is Z8's. You were obviously struck by his nasty, childish and unprovoked posts on this thread. I'm sure others were too.
All we can do at this point is (1) abandon this site or (2) ignore him and his buddies. Option #2 seems like a more reasonable option at this point.
I will, however, contact the site moderators to see if they can address this before it gets out of hand and becomes a distraction to the real purpose of the thread and site: an exchange of info on FI chevys.
Can't we all just get along.
This site is intended to help one another and not to bash one another. It seems like both parties involved have extremely fast cars and are very knowledgeable with their setups. Sometimes we do not see eye to eye on things but that is life. There is always going to be someone smarter and faster out there. I believe both parties can provide alot of info to the noobies and veterans in the FI world.

I was also sponsored by Paxton many years ago..

I have over 10yrs of forced induction experience and played an instrumental role in the release of the YSi supercharger. I am not some "punk" as Stealth refers to me and my daddy hasnt bought me anything as Stealth says..
here is my head guy (does LS1 and LT1 stuff too)

i am not here to pat myself on the back.. If I had never been asked for my resume, i would have kept to myself... BUT, these false statements being made from the other party are out of control.. Z8's, Intimid8, and I have "been there, done that" and are more than willing to help out..
Z8s is a machinist and fabricator by trade, and a hardcore racer
Intimid8 is a mechanic, fabricator, tuner, and hardcore racer
now that I laid it on the line, i would like to know how Stealth and Stealth2 has contributed to the Forced induction community.

It may have been an isolated incidence but does Vortech have issues with leaky seals on YS-trim blowers? Also how does Vortech go about removing pressure inside the blower produced from heat? Is there a vent hole somewhere on the blower?
BTW, nice car.

This is MY OPINION and ONLY MY OPINION... I am NOT speaking for Vortech or any other company..
From what I understand, Vortech is a very heavily ENGINEER weighted company. Impeller design takes months, if not years, to create something so efficient. Other companies, who offer billet impellers, just carve them up and put them out for racers to test. Ive worked with 'other companies' and have put their units on my car with limited success... A call to the company got me the response 'our CNC operator put in the wrong program, lemme send you another blower tomorrow to test'... Vortech CASTS their impellers for strength and weight. I hope this helps you understand the "heat" issue... Its not a hole or anything... as far as YS and leaky seals, i have never heard of such a problem..

Sent you a pm.
I drove my YS Trim'd LS1 on the street last week for 2 hours and I was almost never in boost except when I got on it.
YS/YSi are basically excellent, BIG, superchargers. Quite streetable.
My Weldon fuel pump on the other hand is a handful.

I am in receipt of the email you sent me regarding this thread. I'm not really sure what the point of it was and I certainly am hoping that you weren't expecting me to come here to defend some of your statements in this thread. Some of your statements about forced induction are laughable. Regardless, I don't normally even take the time to read this board anymore because of instances like this and I only came here because you asked me to look at this specific thread.
I have known Z8's, INTMD8, and Flyin Hawaiin for many, many years. In fact, Z8's originally put my supercharged Z28 together back in 1998 and taught me the basics of forced induction and working on f-bodies. His guidance has helped me to be able to successfully work on my car for the last 6 years and also have a very streetable 700hp car. INTMD8 is one of the most competent mechanics I have met, both in skills and creativity and I think Bob's experience on the track and with tuning speaks for itself. I also had the most unpleasant experience of having to race my (at the time) high 11 second Z28 against Bob's renegade Mustang...needless to say he crushed me in qualifying rounds
There are not very many people I would take advice from or even let work on my vehicle if there is a job that I couldn't fix myself. These guys would be among the small handful that I would even consider because I am 100% confident in their abilities, knowledge, and experience in the FI field.

Wow.
Chris Sikora (and Dave Steadman) were among the first people to install a 93-97 LT1 Supercharger on an F-Body period... Like in 1995. I first met Chris and his friend Dave, who has been too busy to be involved in the scene back in early 1998 when I saw Dave's 1993 LT1 with the S Trim on it at Strats Diner in the Chicago area.
