Won't pull past 4k rpm!

I had a similar problem with an MSD 6AL box. The wiring from the box has a white wire and black/orange wire that can't be anywhere near each other. If they are you get EMI(Electromagnetic Interference). Mine would start misfiring at about 4,800. I separated the two and it solved the problem.
