Exclamation Where Are The Roots At?

Does anyone know of the status for any roots systems for the F-body? I have seen a few post talking about them and was just curious of the production status, or if there is still one for the possible system?

Re: Where Are The Roots At?

In a certain snese you are wasting your time.

Look, if you have the bucks and a fabricator willing to work with you, you can do anything you want.

If you're waiting for Edelbrock or someone like that to come out with what amounts to a bolt-on kit... fuhgedaboudit.

Besides which, on a street car you're really better off with a centrifugal blower anyway. That nature of the boost curve is better suited to the realities of a street car.

Even if you really want the roots "style", what you REALLY want is a screw type blower like a whipple. MUCH better adiabatic efficiency.

just curious because i saw a few f-bodies with it done and wanted to know if it would ever happen. Also the ones that did have it done put out some good numbers! They didn't need a deep pocket either, I for one believe it is poosible to do so, there are some photos @ LS1 Tech that really show the work!!
