i emailed my intercooler piping manufacturer (Zturbo ) and this is what he said:


Ford powerstroke you mean... duramax is a chevy. The intercoolers pressure drop sucks *** and you will loose hp with it. The intercooler is meant to support 260 hp and blocks more when you have to cut it down to fit it in the car.

i don't believe that at all. the GN guys are running in the 11-10's with it. thats way more than 260hp. i think he wants to sell you what HE has, because HE has the best sheesh.

i looked at the stock GN cooler. looked way to small to me.
looks like it was only meant to support 260hp.

 

no hes talking bout the ford intercooler, and hes not selling me anything, ive done my own research on the gn intercooler and im purchasing it off the turbo buick board. the gn intercooler will be fine up to about 10-12 psi on a 350, the gn guys run em up to 28 psi, but that gets restrictive for them. the gn intercooler is 19x10x4, good enough for me.

 

i know what you/he meant = the powerstroke intercooler sux.

i think its better than the stock GN cooler. and the GN guys that have upgraded to the powerstoke say its GREAT. just a pita to install because of its size.

 

yeah i was worried about size as well, i want to keep the ac condensor. ill just go with the gn intercooler
