how quiet is the vortech SQ trim?

how quiet is the vortech SQ trim?

just wondering if i should send in my s trim head unit to have it made into a SQ trim (if its even possible).

really quiet ask all the pretty mustangs around town. you cant tell unless you are on the hood.

yep. pretty much can not hear it. i think it should be just a tad louder. but not nearly as loud as the non-sq models.

i sent off a email, in still waiting for a reply, hope its not too much, was never fond of the blower sound.

I haven't had one upgraded but I believe they can. If you don't hear back from your e-mail Vortech can be reached at 1-805-247-0226. Also, if you send an e-mail my way I can check on this for you in the morning. We might be able to save you some $ on this.

That's strange! We usually respond to most e-mail by the end of the day. If a person takes the time to write they should get a response. I'll attach a return receipt to make sure you receive my reply tomorrow.

I just sent you a reply. Here is the info incase anyone else is thinking about doing this -

I found that this is something that you'll have to go through Vortech for. They would take your S-trim in to inspect it/seem what is's worth. They would then credit that amount towards the price of the new SQ head unit. If I had to guess I'd say that you might be spending about $1200. for this upgrade with your trade.

I have one on my mustang, you can sort of hear it at WOT, but it's almost inaudible at idle.

ouch 1200!! not worth it, just to make it quiet. ill just get louder exhaust!
