use collectors? I've seen people just weld all 4 pipes strait on to the turbo flange. If I were to use 1 5/8" piping it would work out almost perfect for T4 flanges. Anyone know more on this. I myself run a collector, but haven't made any real runs on it yet. Going to start making my stainless set in case this one blows out
I used collectors as well, but that was just because I didn't have a straight shot to the flange. I would think you would want to group all the exhaust pulses together before entering the turbine, but really thats just my opinion.
Burns has some real nice merge collectors with flanges welded right on. Kinda pricey. They use some sort of double slip connection. Not quite sure how it works, but I saw a pair on an older (70's) twin turbo camaro on the Hot Rod power tour. If I were coming straight forward with my headers I would want to use them!
