You sure have been asking alot of question lately.

Is the blower counted for in the 7K? What are you current mods? Are you doing the work yourself?

Used blower kit - $2500
Misc - Gages, Retard Box, Tuning, Scanmaster, plugs..etc - $750.00 - $1000
Rebuilt stock shortblock (bored .030 over) - 1500 - 2000.00 (This is assuming forged piston, ARP rod bolts, Stock crank, gaskets, bearing and machine work)
Mild Blower cam - $175 - $250.00

I am going to assume depending on the boost level you will be able to get around 450 rwhp.

If that's what you have to play with, i'd personally do a forged bottom end with well ported stock heads and nitrous. I say this b/c the FI system you choose will make up over $3k of your budget alone and won't allow very much after that. Do that and then get a good nitrous system with a nitrous grind cam. Then pour the rest into fuel/chassis/suspension/rear mods. With a forged bottom end you could shoot a 200 shot or beyond. With good heads and cam you should make 380-400rwhp NA. Then keep changing out nozzles till you get to a shot you're comfortable with. 200 should be no problem, as long as your tuning is good.

May be something like this:

Forged 355 rebuild: 2-$3k (will vary greatly)
Port heads: ~$1k
cam and nitrous system: $1500
12-bolt rear: $2k
Fuel system: $____? (FP, injectors, ignition, regulator, etc... stock fuel lines should support 10s)

You could buy many of the parts used for much less. With a setup like that you should get into the mid- maybe low 10s pretty easily. 9s might be pushing it. If you have an auto then you'll have to account for the trans rebuild too.

I generally won't suggest a greater than "mild" FI setup unless your talking a 9-$10k budget since the ____charger parts will be much more expensive. You'll NEED a good bottom end to run enough boost to outdo a nitrous setup. FWIW, i wouldn't do FI unless you plan to run 12psi or more... as a good nitrous setup will generally make more power until you pass that point.

Just my $.02
