I was toying around with the idea of goin this route on my 383 not for this summer but maybe over next winter since the car is going to be set up for a carb and single plane for this season I dont think it would be much of a hassle to do this. I had heard that a guy did it in his firebird but that was only a rumor. I would have to redo the shortblock accordingly but thats not huge and i would have to pick up another holley along with some extra plumbing hardware and a different cam etc. I havnt looked that close but would the damn thing fit in the engine bay the cowl would have to be cut back completely but at that point i dont know if the windsheild would interfere. I have to trim the cowl for the setup im gonna run but may be able to get a way with keeping my wipers by welding the top of the wiper arm mount to the cowl and cutting away the lower portion of the mount but ill have to see how it turns out.
