Vortech Carburated Blower!
Does anyone here have any experience with it? I have been throwing the idea around for months on getting this for my 82 Z. My main conerns are getting it to fit in the compartment and what modifications have to be done to the belt system. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

ATI makes a carbed system also. For some reason anytime vortech makes a system ATI comees out with a better system.

actually, i will be using a combination of both systems. i chose the D1 procharger carb blower package simply cause it could make more power than the S trim set up. The D1 had more flow, 12 rib belt, and could tolerate more rpms.
the one piece that i really liked about the vortech system was the box. the procharger uses a carb hat. many folks have done very well with the carb hat, but i really liked the look of the box to make for a clean looking installation in my show and go Z. i purchased the vortech box seperately to use with the procharger system.
the total was about 3k but if it allows me to run 15-20 pis through a carb and be streetable, i would have saved some bucks compared to EFI and FAST system.
anyway, check out my website for some pics of the system. i made more progress since i last updated the site. the blower should be going on soon.
the D1 and vortech system are the same cash. i would go with the D1. the enclosure isnt necessary, but i decided on it mostly for appearance and performance. its a nice piece. not cheap though.

dude, you are my idol. blowthru carb, supercharger, sweet 69, that is a really nice setup. I think I'll be going with the hat since the box is so expensive. what did you have to do to your carb to get it to work under pressure? is that a holley 750 or what kind of carb are you going to run?
