http://www.msm.cz28.com/1969z28/curr...ts/photo4.html

for a carbed sbc kit.

when i ordered my kit from ati, i gave them my engine set up and the boost i was targeting. here are my engine specs:

forged 383
8.0:1
trick flow 23 degree heads
custom solid roller cam (286/293 .625/.597 with 114 LSA)
supervictor intake
1050 holley HP carb
Vortech Carb Enclosure
full length headers through full 2 1/2 exhaust

i was targeting 15 psi. i have a D1 with the 12 rib pulley set up. Crank pulley is 7.65" and they sent a 4.75" blower pulley. this seems like kinda a big pulley to get 15 psi from my well breathing 383. at max rpm of 7k, the blower will only be spinning 50k (it can max at 65k). how much boost are you guys seeing with your 383 and D1 and what size pulley are you using.

i was debating about going with the 3.70" blower pulley to max the blower at my peak rpm. think this would be overkill for the street?

any info appreaciated. sorry for the long post.

thanks,

mike

just a heads up. there is a 3.70 pulley on ebay for sale for $30. it might be worth just to pick it up and try it for $30. look under parts then procharger

thanks for the tip. actually its a 3.40" which was also a consideration, but that would slightly over spin the D1 and don't need the impellar crashing on me.

come on fellas.. i know there are many with D1's on there 350's or 383 and on.. what size pulley? how much boost? some engine specs would be nice.

help me decide..

thanks,

mike
