some say the V2-SQ Vortech is quieter than the V1 and some say it isnt.
Is there anyone that can compare between the two and say if the new one isnt that loud?

It's quieter, but there is a large subjective component to how sound is percieved. You may find a significant differnce, others may not or v.v. I, for one, don't find the "regular" S-trim objectionable.
