Twin turbo headers
Twin turbo headers
Hey all of you with turbos, where did you get your headers from and what did they cost?
I'm in the process of refreshing my sbc 421 which is currently centrifugally supercharged and I want to explore the posibility of twin turbo charging this to make 1200-1400 hp in a 73 Camaro.
So any assistance or suggestions are most welcomed, thanks in advance.

Made them from TIG-welded 16 gauge 304 stainless u-bends, custom 304ss flanges and 304ss collectors. All the bends were from Burns Stainless and I have access to a CNC plasma table at work so we cut the flanges there and flattened them.
Materials are a hair under $1000 total.

Tig weld them myself either using 321 or 304 stainless. Depends on what the car is going to be used for. I used 321 stainless on my personal cars headers as well as a freinds ls1. materials get into the 1000-1500 range generally I buy in bulk generally so get my costs down that way.
What heads are you running with the 421? What is your power output now and using what blower (just a nosey lil guy i am
)

My current combo is centrifugally supercharged with a custom air to air intercooler from Jim Sheren, so if some of the specs don't look exactly right for a turbo setup that can be corrected.

Are you planning on changing some of the internals out? 800hp jump is a pretty serious one. Did pick a great place to get headers made priced the kooks headers out before myself did it myself and had fun personally though
Good luck on the build
