I got a chance to meet him, seemed like a good guy. I only got to see the first run which I thought was 13.2@99? Anyhow, his system design definitely has some really good ideas in it, but like he's said over and over, it needs some cleaning up. The car sound wicked running with no BOV. I'm really looking forward to seeing the end product. I didn't ask to take any pics since the last, long, post dealt with that topic. The only issue I saw with the system was exhaust routing for ground clearance, especially for anyone that's lowered. Good luck Bryan, and keep us updated....

Wow, what a fricken weekend! Here is the chain of events starting on Wednesday..
Finished swapping out the T56 and in with TH400#1. Test drove TH400#1 and the tranny was bad out of the box. Shyt, what to day.
Thursday - Get everything off of TH400#1 to yank it. Go get LT1 4L60E Bellhousing. Come to find out the LT1 and LS1 bellhousings are identical except the LS1 unit has a bolt in the center top which the LT1s don't need anyway. Wasted money on the LT1 bellhousing but didn't have time to research and wanted to be sure. Quit around 1:30Am Friday morning with only two bell housing bolts and a jack holding it inplace.
Friday - 6:30Am Get and get ready for Jason (Comotose,on this board) to come over help.
7:00 am - Arrives and we finish yanking TH400#1 and get another friends LT1 4l60e converter to put on the LS1 4l60e. Get it prepped to install.
11:00 am - Find out the LS1 4l60e and the LT1 4l60e have different input shaft lengths. DAMN IT converter wont seat.
12:00 pm - go pickup TH400#2 and shift kit. This trans is a heavy duty truck unit but no race transmission. Hell with it... we are going to SLP day.
3:00 pm - Start installing TH400#2
7:00 pm - Finishing installing TH400#2. Drive around the block, seems to shift. Load on the trailer.
7:30 pm - Leave for Ennis.
1:00 - 1:30 Am - (can't remember, I was too punchy by then) Arrive Quality Inn Ennis, Tx
I only made three passes that day. Teched in, they weren't hard on me but did warn me that if it cut a 11.99 or better, I would be loading it up. Shrug... I need a cage
The first and only time trial run I made, the booster pump wasn't on so it started detonating really bad. I got out of it and went back to the trailer to fix the problem.
Second run of the day was in eliminations. I was dialed in at 12.50 sinse I had a collected 2 miles on the new trans I wasn't used to driving it. The car was previously a 6 speed. Won round one catching my oppenent at 1/2 track and nosing her out at the end. Cut an .014 light but that didn't hold for best reaction time of the day long. Winner ended up cutting an .001. WOW
Third run I dialed in at 12.00 against a 13.00 car. Came off the line really easy rolled into it slowly. Nailed it nearing the 660 mark and smoked the tires. Couldn't regain it enough to catch my opponant and netted a 12.38 @ 117. I found out I peglegged the burnout so the tires weren't hot.
All this was on the Nittos. I didn't get to run the Streets because we were to busy screwing with a trans leak. PITA!!!
Thanks to Jason, Jeff, Nate, Chad and everyone else who made being there possible! It was a mess in every sense of the word. You should see my garage!
Anyway, I did get to meet one of the guys off the board (sorry, with everything going on, I forgot your name). It was nice meeting you.

Like I said above, we played hell all week and weekend with that damn transmission swap. I really wish the 6speed was still in there because I would have liked to have run the car in it's previous configuration at this event. Oh well. I hope to clean up the ground clearence issues with the exhaust system redesign. There isn't a ton of room to work with. If you have stock tire and ride height, then it's isn't bad at all but if you are lowered or run skinnies or anything that brings the front end closer to the ground, you will have some issues with ground clearence. Had I not had to run in circles just trying to get the car functional, we might have had some time to perfect the trans swap. Irregardless, it will get some work on it soon. I plan on hitting a few of the regional events with it this year if everything goes well. In anycase, I hope to meet some more of you guys in the future.-Bryan
