I know everyone frowns on them but I did make 446RWHP on the blower setup at 7psi. Will it support 9psi with a turbo? I don't know but I'll yet ya know real soon.

Edit: Ream, just to clarify, stock injectors with an FMU at 6:1. So for every psi I get 6 lbs of fuel pressure. 9psi = 38+(9*6)=92 lbs of fuel. Are the injectors locked open? Will a stock intake with a booster pump feed 550RWHP? We'll find out.

Don't worry. I'm going to be real easy on it until I'm confident.

Thanks,
Scott.
okay....I was gonna say bc my buddy was making 440RWHP on his stock 27lbers and he got LS1 live a few weeks ago and his dutie cycle was 145%.

I would just buy the 60's dude, but its up to you.

I would think you could make ~550rwhp @ 9psi.

Sounds baddass Scott! Any idea when you will get some numbers? How does it drive?

Thanks Jon,

Well, you know how slow I work when it comes to hobbies, lately anyway

Tuning/fuel system will come next spring. It drives nice with better ground clearance than the old Hooker/Mufflex exhaust. Still need to drill/weld a second bung for the Autometer O2 gauge. Interior is all taken apart to add some gauges and put a Pro5.0 shifter in. Just alot of little things really.

I'm kickin myself in the rear not pullin the motor when it was torn down. For now I've got stock crank/rods so I have to be pretty careful at this point. 9-10 psi should be like 640 at the crank by my calculation

What are you doing for a MAP sensor and PCM? IM just wondering bc IM gonna be running 12 PSI so I need a 2bar map. But i hear the tuning sucks.

Jay,

Tuning is all new to me really and I probably wont tackle that until next spring. I'm thinking SD, 2-bar MAP, tunercat and wideband.

I'm running an FMU right now while everything is being sorted out.

Well, I came home for lunch today and finished hooking up the WB sensor/gauge and decided to drive it back to work. Getting about 15.0:1 at highway cruise and nice and rich (<10.5) when the boost starts to come in. This is with the FMU. Seemed safe enough to get into a little coming back home. I've been reluctant to really start to get into it with this fuel/tune setup but seeing the WB display gave me a little peace of mind.

So forth gear, ~3200rpm, half throttle to get the turbo up a little, then matted it and saw just under 20psi (maybe 18 or so) at 4500rpm, then the intake tubing came apart. Holy crap this thing moves out .

Every time right around 4000-4500rpm the tubing splits and the ride is over. Things start to happen real fast though so its tough to keep an eye on the air/fuel, boost, rpm. Something to get used to, kinda like riding a crotch rocket for the first time.

This thing is already much more exciting then the supercharged setup.
