Turbo advice...
I have a 95Z that is currently supercharged, but I am wanting to change to an 88mm turbo setup.
Its a LT1, 383, forged bottom end, 8.8:1 CR.
I have a few questions.
First, I am wanting to fab up my own hotside stuff, but need a starting point for the flanges. Will any SBC header work?
What 88mm turbo do you recommend? I was thinking Precision.
I have a FMIC, and plan on running meth injection. With that and my CR, do you believe that 800-1,000 at the wheels could be made safely with it done on pump gas?

Re: Turbo advice...
Headers will depend on how you want to run the cross over and your budget. People have used everything from flipped stock manifolds, slp shorties, modified SBC S10 headers, logs and custom tubular setups over the years.
A Precision 88mm will get you to 1k rwhp. An S480 with a race cover would also do the job. I would consult with Jose at Forced Inductions about a good turbo for your combination. You might also want to look into a turbo friendly cam to get it to spool quicker.

Re: Turbo advice...
Chris has some good advice. Tell Jose at F.I. your goals and all the elements of your car and he'll give you a good candidate. There's tons of picture out there of all the setups so you should be able to make a decision on the hotside layout. I had a log setup originally but now have a tubular header layout for my single PT7675. Good luck on your build!
