Trick Flow Heads?

I was looking in the new Summitt book and saw the Trick Flow Heads for the Lt1( Blown, Stroked, or juiced). Do you guys think these are some good heads for a stock bottom end with 8# boost. Also what will be a good cam to go with this setup. I have my pcm programmed for a stock engine set with throttlebody and longtube headers and bigger 36 lbs injectors. What will i need to do to my pcm for the heads and cam change if anything. The tunning is a OBD-1 form PCMFORLESS.

P.S. the heads are 195cc intake, 75cc exhaust, 64cc combustion.
The cam in mind is a comp cam 306.

Will these heads lower the Compression Ratio any?
My mods are at the bottom of the post.

Those heads should work out great for a bolt-on. I am concerned about your cam choice though. Your gonna bleed of cylinder pressure with all the overlap. Maybe you should look into the 224/236 w/114lsa.

I also would urge you to consider a different cam. The CC306 is far from an optimal cam for what you are describing.

Comp Cams makes one .. 218/230 114 LSA .495/.515 (I think those are the specs) Look on thunder racing's web-site and racenet.net .. They both carry it I believe

In general on a blown car you want at least 114 lobe separation angle and about 10-12 degrees more exhaust duration than intake. cc306 is an extremely poor choice as a blower cam and is more suited to natuarally aspirated engines.

I would recommend the 224/236 (there are a couple grinds that are good), the 227/239, or the cc305 on 114 lsa.

Since you are doing your purchasing and planning... don't forget about your ignition and fuel system. Make sure they are in spec... injectors, pump, ign. module, etc...

I noticed you have the 36# injectors, but I'm not sure if that will be enough for your desired horsepower level. May need 42# injectors...
