Track today

Well I'll still have some work to do But some good and bad today. I ran 10.26 @ 135 spinning! This run resulted in one of my brand new Hoosier QTPs developing a leak! I have some tubes on order. I guess the shock of the launch caused the bead to unseat they are screwed to the rim so I'm not sure how. It won't hold air when at low pressure 13#s is what I was running when I put 30#s in they hold fine. I also have a boost leak somewhere I think its my BOV relieving a little pressure earlier than it should My gauge is fluttering rapidly at 15#s when I saw 18#s on the gauge last year. The Bump steer kit Helped alot it does launch straight now so I'm close to being ready now. I need to play with my front shock settings a little to hopefully hook better. That pass would have been a high 9 with a good launch More good news is that most of the people their today were running about 2tenths slower than normal because of high humidity and low Barometer.

Re: Track today

Excellent times!!! 135 traps are definitly enough for 9s with a good launch. What's your combo? (if you don't mind me asking)

Re: Track today

Lt4 396 AFR 190 heads 224/236 114lsa low lift version 8.8to1 compression D1 3 core intercooler 18#s th400, 12 bolt, 100 shot. 3750 pound car damn near 4000 with me in it. I will definitely get it in the 9s this year when I figure out where I lost three pounds of boost. Late last year the one time I had everything working it ran 10.32@132 without juice so when I figure it out I should run 9.80 139 or so.

Re: Track today

Your just down the road we should hook up some time our combos are very similar. That pass was 107 in the 1/8th ran 105.4 on blower last year I said I have a boost leak somewhere I'm going to Block off my BOV for a pass and see if thats it next time I head to the track. Don't have any good dyno numbers at the moment everytime I get on their something isn't right. I have a few bugs left to work out should have good numbers soon.
