Torque Converter Brand for Hi-po Setups?
Hey Rich, I don't have any experience with autos, but as for Coan... if this new one doesn't work, then I can't see how legally they can not give you a refund for it.
I mean, you ordered one thing (something that would stall at 3500), and they sent you something else (something that stalls much higher). So, I wouldn't take any "crap" from them if this new one doesn't work either. Demand a refund and move on to one that works how you want.

Sorry to hear about your problem. I remember your original post and I suggested the Neil Chance converter. If you can't make your Coan work Chance can use your cover to make a new bolt together converter. They also have a weld together converter that will be about $700 cheaper and will be more than enough for your app. Dan Millen runs a Chance Bolt together and his car makes ungodly torque down low. Good luck and if you buy another buy the Chance.

The new (revised) converter Coan sent seems to work. Found another problem though, alippin SC belt. I am going to a cog belt setup that should help that problem though.
Thanks for the advice.
