Out of curiosity, how hard would it be to convert a ati procharged lt1 formula to a turbo one. reason im asking is..my supercharger was rebuilt by a friend and.. if i do run into problems with it, i may not go the supercharged route anymore. i have a 3 core intercooler in the nose of the car already.and would need custom manifolds, and a good turbo. has anyone put a turbo on a lt1? would the cost be too great to consider going to turbo? should i just stick with the blower route and get a better blower when or if my p600b dies? any opinions are greatly appreciated

If you want to reuse the intercooler you have, you could get the PTK "hot parts" kit (do a search). Then the only hard thing to fab up is routing the air to intercooler, which shouldn't be too bad. Get a turbo cam, do some tuning.

 

well the cam i got is a cam per rskrause's specs, prob would work just fine with a turbo..engine was rebuilt in winter...does anyone make custom manifolds for the lt1's for turbos? im thinkin most of my money would go there...and the turbo etc

i checked out that site..man 3400.00 just for the piping etc..seems steep but for a drop in fit..i guess its not.....perhaps the turbo option may have to wait a bit lol

could always do sts rear mount kit ...dont have a link for it, but im sure someone will chime in
